Energy management system
Energy management system contract(s) - contract(s) relating to the organisation’s energy management system. An energy management system (EMS) is a system of computer-aided tools used by operators of electric utility grids to monitor, control, and optimise the performance of the generation or transmission system.
If the organisation does not have an energy management system, please confirm when this will be implemented. It would be great if you mention the tentative date/month.

I refer to your request for information dated 5 June 2024 (FOI 24 - 25/08) in which you submitted various queries related to GTC Scotland’s gas and electricity contracts as well as queries related to an energy management system. We requested clarification from you on 12 and 17 June to which you responded on 25 June.

The energy provider for gas and electricity contracts.
OVO (previously trading as SSE) are the service provider for gas and total Gas & Power are the service provider for electricity.
The annual spend for each provider for the past 3 financial years.
The duration, start, expiry and review date for each contract.
The gas contract began on the 01 October 2022 and ends on 31 October 2026 lasting 4 years and 31 days including the end date.
The electricity contract began on 01 April 2024 and ends on 31 March 2026 lasting 1 year 11 months and 31 days including the end date.
Each contract will be reviewed during their respective final years.
The contact details of the person responsible for the contract including their job title.
Please note that disclosing this information would amount to a disclosure of the personal information of the employee in breach of section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA). As such, we are unable to provide you with the job titles of the person within GTC Scotland responsible for these contracts.

Please note that we do not record this information in cubic metres and, as such, we have applied section 17(1)(b) of FOISA to this query as this information is not held.

Please see the information below based on a Non-Half Hourly meter reading in total kilowatts per hour for the past three financial years.

Please note that we do not record this information on a half hourly meter and, as such, we have applied section 17(1)(b) of FOISA to this query as this information is not held.
Various queries regarding an Energy management system (EMS) as a system of computer-aided tools used by operators of electric utility grids to monitor, control and optimise the performance of the generation or transmission system.
There is currently no EMS used by GTC Scotland nor are there any plans to implement one. As such, we have applied section 17(1)(b) of FOISA to all queries related to an EMS as this information is not held.
