Please can you provide me with the following
- The number of ongoing conduct referrals for Highland Council area including date referrals received;
- The number of outstanding/active conduct referrals for Scotland at today's date (or thereabout).

I refer to your request for information dated 17 December 2024 (FOI 24-25/83) in which you submitted various queries regarding referrals made to the General Teaching Council for Scotland which we have handled under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).
You asked for “the number of ongoing conduct referrals for Highland Council area including date referrals received” and the “number of outstanding/active conduct referrals for Scotland at today's date (or thereabout)” which we have reported as data extracted on 15 January 2025. Please note that once a referral is received, we refer to it as a 'case' and have used this language in our response.

The number of ongoing conduct referrals from Highland Council including the date of referral
GTC Scotland currently has 10 conduct cases related to registrants employed by the Highland Council. The dates of referral are shown in Table 1 below.

As of 15 January 2025, there are 180 open conduct cases in total.
