Freedom Needs Boundaries – using the Professional Standards for Lecturers in Scotland’s Colleges
Our first virtual event for College Lecturers aims to stimulate professional thinking, discussion, and national networking.
The event will take place online on Wednesday 20 March at 4 pm and is open to those who are registered with GTC Scotland in Further Education.
We will be joined by Dr Lou Mycroft, a Further Education changemaker and social entrepreneur. She will introduce the Values Line, a way of developing long-term sustainable change in a short-term world. Dr Mycroft will discuss themes such as using the Professional Standards for active enquiry in the college teaching context, using the professional values intentionally in your day-to-day practice and collaboratively connecting and thinking with others in professional learning communities.
Find out more and register. If you have trouble accessing the registration form, please try a different web browser or open the link in a private browsing window.
When registering for the event you will be able to submit a question in advance for Dr Mycroft.
The main session will be recorded and a link will be sent out to all who registered. It will also be made available on our YouTube channel.
