Apply as a teacher

It is a legal requirement for those employed as teachers in Scottish schools to be registered with GTC Scotland.

When teachers who qualified outside Scotland apply for registration and meet the registration requirements, we will award them either Full Registration or Provisional Registration. Teachers who hold Full Registration in Primary or Secondary (Subject) can add additional subjects/sectors to their registration.
